ICAO Day - No Country Left Behind
Working together to ensure no country is left behind as ICAO celebrates 71 years of Chicago Convention.
Today marks 71 years of the Convention on International Civil Aviation or 'Chicago Convention', the defining iternational agreement which has since permitted the global civil aviation system to develop in a safe and orderly manner.
The purpose of International Civil Aviation Day is to help generate and reinforce worldwide awareness of the importance of international civil aviation to the social and economic development of States, and of the unique role of ICAO in helping States to cooperate and realize a truly global rapid transit network at the service of all mankind.
The Maldivian aviation industry and the CAA celebrates ICAO day with community centered activities such as open days at selected aiports
