Air Operations

Air Operations range from commercial air transport (CAT) operations involving the transport of passengers, cargo or mail for remuneration or hire to general aviation operations such as flight training and private flights. This section contains information for organisations and persons engaged in such operations using Maldivian registered aircraft


Commercial Air Transport

CAT operators must, by law, obtain an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from the CAA. This allows transport of passengers and / or cargo on the aircraft for remuneration irrespective of the size of aircraft or operation.

General Aviation

General aviation covers a broad scope of activities, both commercial and non-commercial, ranging from recreational flying and private flying to Aerial Work.
