The Government of the Maldives and the Government of Indonesia held bilateral consultation on 09 and 10th August 2023 in Bali, Indonesia.

The Government of the Maldives and the Government of Indonesia held bilateral consultation on 09 and 10th August 2023 in Bali, Indonesia to facilitate air services between and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the provision of the air services between the two countries.

Under the MoU, airlines designated by Maldives will have the right to operate a total of 7 weekly flight to Denpasar, Kertajati and Yogyakarta. Designated airlines of Indonesia can operate a total of 7 weekly flights to Male' and Gan.

Chief Executive of Maldives Civil Aviation Authority Mr. Hussain Jaleel signed the MoU on behalf of the Government of Maldives and Mr. Putu Eka Cahyadhi, Director of Air Transport of Directorate General of Indonesia signed the MoU on behalf of Indonesia.

The State Minister Mr. Ahmed Zuhair and Deputy Minister Mr. Hamadh Abdul Ghanee from Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation of Maldives participated in the bilateral discussions. Mr. Jatmiko Heru Parastyo, Director for South and Central Asian Affairs from Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia and Senior officials from Diretorate General of Indonesia particiapted in the bilateral discussions.
