Delays and Cancellations
Airlines do their best to avoid disruption and delays. However, sometimes problems do occur. If a flight you are booked on is delayed or cancelled, there are things you can do to make the disruption more bearable. You should also take the time to understand your rights, to make sure your airline treats you fairly.
It is important to be concise and clear when writing to the airline. Give as much details of what happened and when, and why you feel you are entitled to receive a payment. Be particularly clear about what you want. State exactly what compensation and expenses you are claiming.
Send your claim to the airline’s customer relations department. You can escalate your complaint if you don’t get the result you hoped for. Keep a copy of everything you send as they will be useful if things go wrong with the claim.
