Honorable Minister Aishath Nahula's speech on the occasion of International Civil Aviation Day 2021.
The purpose of this Circular is to advise airlines/aircraft operators, air transport sale agents, relevant airport operators and travelling passengers of the amendments to;
COSCAP South Asia Office is relocated in the Maldives for the next 5 years. The office was officially inaugurated by the Honorable Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, Mrs. Aishath Nahula on 6th September 2021.
The Government of Maldives and the Government of the Republic of Turkey has signed an Air Services Agreement to facilitate air transport services between the two countries. The Ceremony took place on 2nd September 2021 in Istanbul, Turkey. Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Ms. Aishath Nahula signed the Agreement on behalf of the Government of Maldives and Mr. Adil Karaismailoğlu, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure signed on behalf of the Government of Turkey.
Ministry of Finance, as part of their ongoing efforts to promote reliance on electronic payments, transactions via Bank of Maldives mobile point of sale (mPOS) has been implemented. Therefore, in accordance with Ministry of Finance Circular No. 13-D3/CIR2021/2 dated 11th February 2021, all payments to this authority will be collected only via digital transactions.
